Leona was a member of Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of Samual and Lizzy Perkins Vars. Preceded in death by hubands, Oscar Hunter and Ray Burgner; sister Violet Gormley; brother, Belmont Vars; and nephew, James Vars. Survived by nieces, Alleen Powlus, of Maryville, Helen Caldwell, of Knoxville, and Betty Julian, of Baskin Ridge, N.J.; special friends, Jack Mathis, Linda Warren, and Della Foster. The family will receive friends, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Berry Funeral Home, from 5pm to 7pm. Family and friends will meet, Friday, February 15, 2013, at Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery, on Wilkinson Pike, Maryville, TN for a 2pm graveside service, Rev.
