(March 29, 1937 - March 15, 2014) Anna Bea Wardroup, age 76, of Newport, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 15, 2014. She was a member of Old Time Gospel Church. Anna Bea loved to sing and sang with the Born Again Believers for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Daisy Ailey; brother, William T. Ailey; sisters, Imogene Worex, Edna Coggins and Ruth Justus. She is survived by her husband of 56 years,Vernon Wardroup; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Christy Wardroup, Rick and Melanie Wardroup; daughter, Tammy Mayes; brother, Jr. Ailey; grandchildren, Tia Buckner, Amber Mayes, Dustin Wardroup, Alayna Wardroup, Chelsea Minkler and Kelly Ailey; great-grandchildren; Alek Williams and Ivy Cox; also many other family and friends. A very special “Thank You” to Tia Buckner and Kelly Ailey for all the love and care they have shown to Anna Bea throughout the years. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Doug Messer, Rev. Sherman Ball and Rev. Glenn Ball officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
