(June 22, 1941 - October 31, 2007) Josephine Worex Bryant, age 66, of Newport, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 31, 2007. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Gethsemane Free Will Baptist Church. She was faithful in her love for her Lord and family. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Joe and Islamae (Owens) Worex; brother, William A. Worex; sisters, Oma Omega Byrd, Betty Anne Ketner Geames and Mary Wanda (Bay) Buckner. She is survived by her husband, Charles Bryant of Cosby; daughters and sons-in-law, Roxanne and Joe Woodby of Bristol, TN, Marie and Bobby Dalton of Newport, Deirdre and Gary Manning of Del Rio, TN; daughter, Harley Gregg; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and R. D. White; brother, Joe Worex, Jr. and wife Letha all of Newport; sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren; and a special thanks to Ellamae Manning and three of her grandchildren, Tamara Stewart, Jessica Martin and Crystal Walker for making her last days easier and more comfortable. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, November 2, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ken Wilson and Rev. Carl Bryan officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, November 3, 2007 in Greggs Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
