JONES , CHARLES EUGENE - age 68, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 19, 1998. Member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. He was a sergeant with the Knoxville Police Department before his retirement in 1986. Preceded in death by parents, Irene Gardener Jones and Charles Johnny Jones . Survivors: wife, Nancy Watson Jones ; daughters and sons-in-law, Debby and Greg White, Sherry and Clifton Beeler, Kathy Galyon and Beth Atchley; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt's at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment. Pallbearers: Greg and Jason White, Kris Kitts, Charles Galyon, Clifton Beeler, Mike Waggoner. Mynatt's in charge.
