April 7, 1934 - March 5, 2016
Hugh G. Anderson joined our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on March 5, 2016. He was born in Graham County, North Carolina on April 7, 1934 to the late Furman and Hattie Anderson. Hugh was a firm believer in the lord, and he had a strong passion for gospel music. He played in a quartet named Gospel Highway along with his wife, Hazel Anderson, as well as his sister and brother-in-law, Nettie and Ronald Shular. When he was not playing guitar and singing with Gospel Highway, he was working and providing for his family at Sun Oil Company and Shell Oil Company. Hugh was very family-oriented. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Anderson and his two sons Brian and Keith Anderson. Hugh and Hazel were married 64 years and they created a spectacular life and family together. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents; and three of his four sisters, Hazel, Ruth, and Flora. He leaves his memory with five grandchildren Breanne and Zach Anderson (daughter and son of Brian), as well as Todd, Jason, and Troy Anderson (sons of Keith). Hugh was also a great-grandfather of three. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm on Tuesday March 8, 2016 in the mausoleum chapel of Grandview Cemetery with Rev.
