U.S. Veteran Michael Eugene Dennis, age 51, of Newport, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his home. Mr. Dennis was a retired veteran of the United States Navy with 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Estel Dennis; brothers, Daniel Crumbley, Wayne Messer and James Gregg; grandparents, Kaywood Dennis and Cora Sue Bryant Dennis. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Dennis; mother, Katherine Dennis; stepchildren, Joshua Taylor and Janice Phillips, all of Newport; brothers, Herbert Dennis of Cosby, Junior, Hubert, Ronnie and Bobbie Crumbley; sister; Doris Messer Webb, all of Newport; his Pride and Joy, Harlee Taylor; special niece Tina Crumbley of Newport; also many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Sunday, February 3, 2013 followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Glenn Bradley officiating.
