(March 20, 1944 - August 11, 2015) Ellis “Ed” Sparks, age 71, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 11, 2015 at Tennova North Medical Center. Preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Laura Mae Cooper Sparks; sons, Mark and Randy Sparks; brothers, Bud and Bill; sisters, Mae Bell, Judy, Peggy, Darlene, Paulette and Gaynell. Survivors include his wife, Jean Hawn Sparks; grandchildren, Brandon, Dillion and Cory; brothers, Pete and Tater; sisters, Betty Jo, Joyce, Deanna and Shirley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Rex Everett and Rev. Bill White officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Sevier County for the graveside service and interment.
