POTTER , FRED E. - age 72, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Sun., Apr. 2, 2000. He was born in Blount County on February 28, 1928. He was retired from Blount Farmer's Co-op after 27 years of service. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member, Deacon & Trustee at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Potter was preceded in death by a son, David Lynn Potter ; mother, Ada Potter & father, Thomas Lee Potter . Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Sarah Ellen Potter ; devoted father to son & daughter-in-law, Timothy & Denise Potter ; brothers, Ronald Potter , Mr. & Mrs. Homer Potter ; sisters, Juanita Blair, Faye Long & Paul & Bernice Nuchols; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tues. in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Ditmore officiating. The interment service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Old Piney Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Sullivan officiating. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Tues. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
