He was a TSSAA football official for 35 years and was inducted into the Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame. Pete retired from Bell South after 38 years of service. He was a member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church and was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; Sam Rudd and Grace Sayne Rudd, and brother; Billy Ray Rudd. Survivors left to cherish his memory: Wife of 60 years: Barbara Lett Rudd Daughter: Susan R. Lowe and husband Mike Granddaughter: Alison Lowe Warren and husband Jeremy Great-grandson and best friend: Jake Preston Warren Sister: Nora Katherine Rudd Several nieces and nephews Extended family members and many friends including TSSAA officials and golfing buddies Graveside service with interment to follow 1:30PM Thursday at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery (John Sevier) with Rev.
