(Died January 25, 2013) Mr. Eugene Shults, age 77, of Cosby passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 following a long illness with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father Creed Shults Jr. and sister Earmaline Williams. He is survived by his wife Paulette Shults, of the home, son Todd Shanton (Amber), step sons Jeff Sisk (Lisa), Jason Whitt (Kelly), four grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, mother Ruby Shults, brother Jack Shults, and very special friend Glenmore Smith, all of Newport. Family and friends will meet at Fowlers Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 for the 2:00 graveside service with Pastor Cleo Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in Fowlers Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Newport Health & Rehab and Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice for all their kind, compassionate, and caring help.
