Robert e. boswell 93, of Houston, Texas died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 6, 2012. A native Texan, Rob was born on September 29, 1919 to George Edward and Alta Minerva Boswell , the second son of seven children. Rob attended Southern Methodist College before beginning a long sucessful career with the G. R. Haley Company, advancing from entry level employee to CEO/Owner. Rob served in the Merchant Marines from 1942-1945 and wrote and published "Tales of a United States Merchant Seaman" which has been placed in the archives of the National Museum of the Pacific War, Center for World War II Studies. In 1943 Rob married Agnes Loring Bristol. He was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Rob will be remembered by all for his humor and wit. He loved golf, The Wall Street Journal, crossword puzzles, and especially his 69 years with his dear wife "Aggie." Robert Edward Boswell was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rex and Cecil; sisters Grace and Dorothy; and grandson John McMurray. He is survived by his wife, Agnes; sisters Johnye Echols, and Mary Nell Pettitt; also his children: Son, Robert M. Boswell and his family Kristen and Chad Heller and daughters Katie and Abby, Gretchen and Forbes McMullin, children Forbes, William, and Julia; Son, Edward "Peck" Boswell and wife Mary and their family Heather Boswell and son, Braden, Vanessa and Chad Banks and daughter Bailee; Daughter, Christina Sillavan and her family Karly and Walter Donnell and daughter, Stephanie; Daughter, Catherine McMurray and husband David and their family Kelly and Grant Wilcox, children Jackson, Matthew, and Paige, Jeromy McMurray and son, Seth, Morgan and Christopher Broyles and daughter, Jenna; Daughter, Laura Fitzpatrick and husband Richard; and their children Conor and Bridget. Service October 9, 2012 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be at 1:00pm at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd. Houston, TX 77065. Interment: Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the World Craniofacial Foundation, www.worldcf.org, P.O.
