  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 20 Dec 1999. KING , GARY " COTTON " - age 54, of Blount County, passed away Saturday, December 18, 1999, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of Smokey Mtn. Bear and Boar Club. Preceded in death by parents, Tommy and Lizzie King ; sister, Jett Beal Price; brothers, Kenneth Waycaster and Reed King . Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Greg and Jodi King of Commerce, Ga.; daughter & son-in-law, Tonda and John Gunter of Sevierville; grandchildren, Sumer, Terry, Chelsey, Nick, and Robbie; brothers and sisters-in-law, L.D. & Bessie King , Jack and Kathy King , Jerry and Rachel King ; sisters & brothers-in-law, Joy and Howard Hatcher, Billie and Sam Suttles; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 1999 at Valley View Baptist Church with Ronald Reagan and Philip Groos officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to help cover the cost of funeral and medical expenses. Make donations to Greg King c/o McCarty Mortuary.
