He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army, The U.S. Coast Guard, and The Tennessee National Guard. He was employed at KCDC. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by: parents, Raymond E. and Betty G. Vaughn . Survived by: his loving son, Ray Ellis Vaughn brother, Douglas Vaughn sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and David Waddell and Ginger and Ronnie Daniel nieces and nephews, Melissa Vaughn , Michael Todd and wife, Jennifer Daniel, David Waddell II great nieces, Madison and Emily Daniel a host of extended family and friends. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm Thursday at Deep Springs Cemetery for a 1 pm graveside service, Rev. Lewis Thomas officiating.
