WATSON , GENEVA POWERS - born March 24, 1915 in Meigs County, Tennessee, passed away August 16, 2004. Preceded in death by mother, Meda Elizabeth Dake father, Walter Lewis Powers first husband of 25 years, Johnny Wendell Highsmith second husband of 25 years, Millard H. Watson sister Dortha Inez Frazier brother, Walter Lewis Powers . First woman store manager for Sears, Roebuck and Company, with various owned businesses in Athens, Knoxville and Rockwood, Tennessee. She started with her brother at Walter Powers Realty in 1968 and owned Watson and West Realtors from 1975-1985. She was Realtor of the Year twice first woman President of the Board of Realtors in 1981 and won a trip to Hawaii for #1 Knoxville Agent and was President of the Women's Council. Survived by her children, Johnny Marvin Highsmith and his wife Pam, Mary Elizabeth (Libbi) O'Sullivan and her husband Terry grandchildren, Micah Christian O'Sullivan, Misti Renee Binkley, Robert Keith Brown, Johnny Marvin Highsmith II, Dustin Edward Highsmith, and Crystal Leia Church great-grandchildren, Marcus Skye Stalsworth, Tanner Austin Binkley, Jaden Brody Binkley, Hailey Renee Ingle, Travis Tyler Breeden, and Nayland Keith Brown. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, 9076 Middlebrook Pike, Rev. Richard Elseroad offficiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
