(December 12, 1936 - January 8, 2011) Barbara Sue Hutson, age 74, of Maryville, passed away Saturday morning, January 8, 2011, at the family home. She was a member of Meadowbrook Christian Church. Everyone that knew her thought of her as a kind and gentle soul and a saint. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Hub” Ross Hutson; parents, Tyler and Ruby Mikles; infant brother; sisters, Dixie Potter, Rosalie Yearout, Lorraine M. Campbell and Brenda Presley Cobb; and brother, J.T. Mikles. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Terry McCollom of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Cindy Hutson of Knoxville; grandchildren, Nathan McCollom, Eric McCollom, Brett McCollom, Kristen Hutson, and Mike Hutson; sister, Ella Mae Eastridge Sewall; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers, Amber, Juanita, Sherry and Brenda and all of Blount Memorial Hospice nurses, Wendy, Jesse, Pat, Brenda, Ginger and Willa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2200 Sutherland Ave, Ste H102, Knoxville TN 37919 or the American Cancer Society, c/o Jill Rollins, 2330 Chesterfield Drive, Maryville TN 37803. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Cemetery in Townsend for the graveside service and interment. Pallbearers will be Don Hutson, Terry McCollom, Nathan, Eric, and Brett McCollom, Kristen and Mike Hutson.
