Jetta “Jean” Samples, age 74, of Newport, on Sunday night November 11, 2012 our dear Mom left this world and her frail body to join our Dear Savior in Heaven. She loved to sing and listen to gospel music. She is now free of pain and suffering. She is with God walking those streets of gold rejoicing in her new body. She was an animal lover and left behind three little furry babies, Chico, Colby and Cheyene. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Lee Sisk; father, William Henry Hux; and infant brother Billy Hux brother in law amd sister in law, James Whisel Samples and Mary Trentham. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert “Bob” Samples; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Kathy Webb, Donny and Trish Webb, Bobby Wayne and Lisa Samples; and Brian Samples all of Newport; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step siblings; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Samples; special step brother, Philip Kirpatrick of Greeneville; special niece, Sandy Parker; special cousin Alvin Hux; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gene Gorrell and Rev. Carroll Crumbley officiating. Burial will held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the Dunn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
