He married Faye Freeman on March 31, 1935, in Durant, Oklahoma. He served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Houston during World War II as a radar man. Mr. Lindsey was a long distance truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Faye F. Lindsey of McKinney, Texas; son, John Lindsey and his wife, Sue and son, Rick Lindsey, all of McKinney; grandchildren, Joy Berry of Richardson, Texas, and Kay Nichols and husband, Steve, Troy Lindsey and wife, Lara, and Jennifer Lindsey, all of McKinney; great-grandchildren, John Nichols, Elizabeth Lindsey and Allison Lindsey. His parents, brothers, Orville Lindsey and Alvin Lindsey, and sister, Lucille O’Neil preceded him in death. A graveside service was held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Pecan Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Robert Scott and Mr. Lester Jefferson officiating.
