Mr. William Carver, age 74, of Hallsville, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, October 20, 2012.
Mr. Carver was preceded in death by his parents Arvis and Belva Carver, brother Arthur Carver, and sister Stella Pearl Carver.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Lucille Carver, children Donna Carver, Jessica Carver, Aaron Carver, Kaylee Carver, and Mary Simpson, all of Texas; Carol (Wayne) Whitehead of Missouri; Patsy Hall and JoAnn (Carl) Grooms, all of Tennessee; David (Karen) Carver and Ronnie (Jean) Carver, all of New Jersey; Kenny (Gwen) Carver of Tennessee; Steve (Debbie) Carver and Betty (Dominick) Principe, all of New Jersey; Melissa Carver of Tennessee and Trisha Carver of Texas; 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; brother James (Myrtle) Carver of Tennessee; and several other family members.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Junior Gorrell officiating. Alan Stiles, Douglas Whitehead, Ryan Hall, Anthony Principe, L. Carl Grooms, Andy Grooms, and Donald Hall will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the East Tennessee Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
