SHIELDS , IDA MAY age 94, of Bristol, TN passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Bristol, TN a daughter to the late Robert Lee and Lelia Jenkins Statzer. Mrs. Shields was a graduate of Tennessee High School and Bristol Business College. Along with her husband Bob she founded Shields Electronics Supply of Bristol, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. She was extremely proud to know that the business now operates with the third generation. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Shields , Sr. a daughter E. Amelia Shields , and a granddaughter April Dawn Shields . Survivors include: children, Elaine S. Holmes and husband Harrison of Forest, VA, R. Wade Shields II and wife Bonnie Marie of Knoxville, TN , Perry L. Shields and wife Rhonda of Bristol, TN ; grandchildren, Donnie Holmes, Timothy Holmes and wife Lena of Forest, VA, R. David Shields and wife Tina, Jason W. Shields and wife Rachel of Knoxville, TN Robert F. Shields and wife Emily of Louisville, KY; great-grandchildren, Brittany Drake, Danielle Holmes, Kaylie Holmes, Maddox Shields , Matthew Shields , Mason Shields , Leigh Shields , and Ethan Shields . Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Russell and Rev. Joseph Dowlingsoka officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9 pm at Weaver Funeral Home and other times at the home of Perry Shields at 106 Galway Road, Bristol, TN . In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Meals and Wheels at First United Methodist Church at 322 Vance Drive, Bristol, TN 37620. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
