Jean Fowler Denton, 83, of White Pine, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Charles Denton; sons Jerry and Sonny Denton; and parents E.L. and Sybil Fowler. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Benny and Minnie Denton; daughter-in-law Rita Denton; grandchildren Lisa Day, Johnny (DeAndrea) Denton, Barry Denton, Ginger Denton and Alex Denton; great-grandchildren Lauren and Brooke Day and Madisen, Kaylyn and Waylon Kade Denton; brothers Don (Wanda) Fowler and Gary (Faye) Fowler. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2012, in Mayes Family Services, Downtown Chapel with Rev. Mike Henegar and Rev. C.H. Harville officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Mayes Family Services of Morristown, Downtown Chapel.
