COBB , TERRY S. - 56 passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004 at his residence. A native of Knoxville, he was the son of the late Robert Thurman and Cora Belle Smith Cobb . A graduate of Karnes High School, Terry served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority after 30 years, having last worked as Operations Superintendent at the Kingston Fossil Plant. He and his family moved to Spring City 28 years ago where he was the Lay Leader at the St. Clair Methodist Church. Terry was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by: his wife of 39 years, Pat Holbert Cobb of Spring City two sons and daughters-in-laws, Marty (Dee) Cobb of Hiram, GA and Jason (Diana) Cobb of Knoxville four grandchildren, Matthew, Hunter, Dylan and Hannah Cobb one brother, Gary Cobb of Quitman, Texas and one sister, Sherri Hollifield of Jacksonville, N.C. and several well-loved nieces and nephews. Terry had many, many special friends including: Ellen and Richard Kimsey. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. William Boyd officiating. Followed by military honors from Ft. Campbell, KY. Interment will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Tennessee Memorial Park in Claxton, TN with military honors by Knoxville Army Auxiliary Unit. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Vaughn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Clair Methodist Church, c/o Vaughn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 129, Spring City, TN 37381.
