  [S142] Newspaper Article, The Oak Ridger (TN), 29 Nov 2007. Former Oak Ridger Truman Burton Christopher , 61, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, in Chattanooga, Tenn. Mr. Christopher was a 1964 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and a graduate of East Tennessee State University, Johnson City. He was a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for IBM Corporation, K-Mart Corporation and the U.S. Post Office. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Blanche Christopher ; brother, Benny Christopher ; and son, Bradley Wade Christopher. Surviving Mr. Christopher is his wife, Daryl Lee Whitson Christopher ; sons, Eric (Karen) Christopher , Brent Christopher and Matt (Mandy) Christopher ; two granddaughters; brothers, Joe (Laura) Christopher , Rex (Shirley) Christopher ; sister, Betty Jo (Kenneth) Lawing; niece and nephews and many cousins. Dr. Fred Steelman and Chaplain Phil Minton will conduct the service on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at 11 a.m. in Red Bank Baptist Church, Chattanooga. Honorary pallbearers will be Red Bank Baptist Church Fellowship Sunday school class. Active pallbearers will be Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 203. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday in the church. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007.
