HODGE , BRUCE HENRY, SR. - age 80 of Mascot, Tenn., passed away Thursday, August 15, 2002 at Hillcrest North. He served in the Army during WW II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. He was a former member of Gilead Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, T.R. Hodge and mother, Elizabeth Kelly Hodge sisters, Kate Wade, Nellie Hatfield, and Dixie Lovell brother, Ben Hodge and grandson, Doug Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Betty A. Hodge stepchildren David Arnwine and Lisa and husband, Eddie McDaniels four step grandchildren former wife, Joy Boling Hodge children, Mary Moran and husband, Otis, Jeanette Ramsey, Bruce Hodge , Jr. and wife, Millicent, Jewell Tipton and husband, Bob and Lawrence Hodge and wife, Deniese nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Thomas Ray, Jr. and Rev. Victor Hodge sisters, Barbara Harrell, Forest Ramsey and stepmother, Dora Hodge . Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 16, with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Interment service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2002 Evergreen Memorial Gardens. East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Rev. Steve Wright and Rev. Lawrence Ford will be officiating. Arrangements by McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr. Knoxville.
