Bobby C. Ramsey Sr., 67, of Riceville, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, 2008, at his residence.
A native of Blaine, and a longtime resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late James and Eveyln Looney Ramsey, and was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Hayworth; one brother, David Ramsey; and one granddaughter, Caitlyn Ramsey.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lorene Jennings Ramsey of Riceville; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Greg Perrin of Dandridge; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles Ramsey of Rutledge, Bobby C. Ramsey Jr. and wife, Becky, Jeffrey Ramsey and wife, Ginger, Jeremy Ramsey and Terry Ramsey and wife, April, all of Riceville, and Charles Ramsey of Rutledge; 16 grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Josephine Cameron of Riceville, and Darlene and James Perry of Blaine; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Amos and Joyce Ramsey and Steve Ramsey, all of Clinton, and Larry and Penny Ramsey and Billy and Janice Ramsey, all of Blaine; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Redman and the Rev. Garry King officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be sons and a grandson, Bobby Ramsey Jr., Jeffrey Ramsey, Jeremy Ramsey, Terry Ramsey, Charles Ramsey and John Stallings.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
