Joe D. White , 76, of Eagle Rock, Mo ., died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Barry County Care Center in Cassville, Mo . He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Fort Lupton, Colo., to Lea White and Polly Carr White .
He graduated from Blue Eye ( Mo .) High School. He married Bonnie Meeks on April 30, 1992. He lived in Springfield, Mo ., for several years, then Pineville, Mo ., and Eagle Rock. He retired in 1985 from the Missouri Department of Transportation. He attended the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Eagle Rock. Following his retirement from Mo -Dot, he enjoyed working in his woodworking shop, fishing and camping. He was active in his side-band C.B. clubs "Ole Codgers" and "Old Timers."
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie White ; four daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Lawson and Roger Lawson of Miami, Okla., Cheryl McGuiness and Don McGuiness of Springfield, Mo ., Terri Dickens and Mark Dickens of Collierville, Tenn., and Melissa Bertalotto and Keith Bertalotto of Powell, Mo .; a son and daughter-inlaw, Ed White and Ellen White of Eagle Rock; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert White and Linda White of Rogers, Ark., and Donald White and Lula White , and Jimmy White , all of Oak Grove, Ark.; a sister and brother-in-law, Trevalea Landsdown and Bill Landsdown of Denver, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Carmie Humbard of Green Forest, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 5, at Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville, Mo .
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 6, at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Eagle Rock with the Rev. Jim Clay and the Rev. Jody Ray.
Burial will be at the Blue Eye Cemetery in Blue Eye, Mo .
Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice in Berryville, Ark.; or to the ALS Foundation, in care of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville.
