Bossier City - Services will be conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Celestine "Sue" Messer, 60, of Bossier City on Monday January 16, at 4 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Larry Dean, pastor of New Testament Baptist Church and the Rev. Bill Wright of Central Christian Church. Interment will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Messer passed away Friday, January 13, 1989, after a brief illness. She was employed as a Tupperware manager for Lucy Ann Sales. A native of Fort Scott, Kansas, Mrs. Messer had resided in Bossier City for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Bernard Messer.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Kay Cornet and her husband, Calvin, Greta Sue Dean and her husband, Larry, Janet Lynn Plummer and her husband, Paul, all of Bossier City; one son, John "Scott" Messer and his wife, Phyllis of Shreveport; one sister and two brothers; eight grandchildren: Jeff, Kevin and Ryan cornet, Emily Dean, Sarah and Allison Plummer and Glen and Wesley Rains.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Cornet, A.J. Jones, Neil Edgar, Bill Blankenship, Jay Plummer, Ken Plummer, Gary McCord and Ronnie McCord.
The family will receive friends at Hill Crest funeral Home from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday.
