DENTON , GEORGE W. - age 56 of Hale Rd., Dandridge passed away Monday evening, May 22, 2000 at St. Mary's Medical Center following a brief illness. He was employed by Asarco Mining Co. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. Member of the Nina Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Denton . Survivors: wife, Diane Chapman Denton of Dandridge; daughter & son in law, Anna Ruth and Chris hackney; and granddaughter, Brittany all of Jefferson City; mother, Mrs. Wayne (Leona "Tone") Denton ; and sister, Deloris Mason; and brothers Larry and Charles Denton all of Dandridge, Robert, Michael, Jerry, Ricky and Steve Denton all of White Pine. Funeral service, Thursday, 2 p.m. at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev.Jimmy Norris and Rev. Jack Elean, III officiating. Interment to follow in Hills Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-9 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Dandridge.
