Herman F. Ott, age 74 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Mr. Ott was a member of Central Point Baptist Church and was employed at Alcoa Aluminum Company for 33 years. He was a member of the 25 Year Club at Alcoa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Jane Ott; parents Frank and Stella Grace Ott, second mother, Effie Robertson; and son-in-law, Tim “Bear” Turk.
He is survived by his son, Johnny Ott and wife Susan Marie; daughters, Susan Turk, Sherry Pryor and husband Boston; grandchildren, Tara and Dennis Smallin, Travis and Angela Ott, Levon and Cheryl Knowles, Steven Ridner, David and Amanda Ridner, Cynthia and Gabriel Garcia, Timothy, Rusty, Amanda, and Infinity Ott, twenty-one great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Ott and wife Sondra; sisters, Elsie Bryant and husband Rob, Brenda Loveday and husband Bruce, several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jack and Joann Huskey, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Breeden and Tina Breeden, brother-in-law, Ricky McMillian, and Carlletta Weaver and Jean King of Tennova Healthcare and Tennova Hospice Care.
Funeral service 7 PM Friday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. George Ott officiating. Interment 11 AM Saturday in Central Point Cemetery.
