FRAKER , DENNIS LYNN age 53 of the Claxton community passed away August 28, 2012 in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. Dennis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Heiskell, a member of Alpha Lodge #376, Clinton, TN and Scottish Rite. He was owner and operator of Fraker Construction Co. for 18 years. He worked with Fraley and Schilling Trucking Co. for the past 2 1/2 years. Dennis was a man of strong character and a kind, modest, and humble soul. When someone needed a helping hand, he wanted to help in any way he could, expecting nothing in return. He was grateful for everything in his life, no matter how big or small and you could always tell by the smile on his face. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working with heavy equipment, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Fraker and father-in-law C. H. Gault. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Connie Lynn Fraker ; daughter, Courtney Dennise Fraker ; son, Nathan Lynn Phillips (Cassandra); mother, Deltha Fraker ; step-children, Gregory Greene (Kathryn), Heidi Davis (Eric), Travis and Candice Greene; grandchildren, Breanna Phillips, Anna and Halle Greene; brothers, Gary Fraker and Larry Fraker (Candace); sisters, Sharon Mullins (Gary), Sandra Fraker ; mother-in-law, Nina Gault; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and more friends than can be mentioned. Pallbearers will be Gary and Larry Fraker . In lieu of flowers we ask that you be willing to offer a helping hand to your family, friends, and neighbors as Dennis would have done. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the chapel at 8:00 pm with Reverend Harold Ogle and David Ogle officiating. Interment will be Saturday, September 8th at 11:00 am at Zion Baptist Church in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements. We are only here for a short time and as Dennis always said, "Hold on and enjoy the ride".
