Linginfelter, Isaac “Ike”, age 90, of Maryville passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arlie Linginfelter, parents, Carrie Tipton and John David Linginfelter, brothers Floyde, Roy, Charles, Guy, Junior, Burl Linginfelter and the sweetest sister, Ruth L. Green. He is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry D. and Sandy Linginfelter of Louisville, TN and Michael D. Linginfelter and Vickey Linginfelter of Maryville, special friend, Loretta Irwin of Maryville; grandchildren, Sarah (Linginfelter) and Peter Turner of New York City, and Erica Linginfelter of Knoxville; several special nieces and nephews. Ike was retired from Alcoa and pastored several Baptist Churches in Blount and Sevier Counties. His military service in the U.S. Eighth Air Force took him to England, France, and Belgium. He played Appalachian League baseball and enjoyed many years of coaching basketball and baseball at area Blount Co. Schools and cherished his opportunity to coach youth softball at Beech Grove Baptist Church, Louisville. The family would like to express their gratitude to Williamsburg Villas Assisted Living, Knoxville, where he happily resided for the past 20 months, making many dear new friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Laurel Bank Baptist Church, 211 County Farm Road, Friendsville, TN 37737 or Beech Grove Baptist Church, 1519 Topside Road, Louisville, TN 37777. Family and friends will meet 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Zion Chapel Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m.Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Dr. Charles Bailey and Rev. Kenny Armstrong officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville (865) 982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org
