Walker Valentine, age 75, of Newport, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Verner, Dewey, Junior and Reece Valentine.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Carla Valentine, of Cosby; daughters, Sherri Williams, of Nashville, Vicky Cochran, of Knoxville, and Ginger Valentine, of Newport; brothers, Turpin Valentine and Jack Valentine, both of South Carolina; sister, Geneva Riddle, of South Carolina; special granddaughter, Taylor Valentine, of Cosby; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 8 p.m., Saturday, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Leon Large officiating, with burial 1 p.m., Sunday, in Caton’s Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, prior to the funeral at Manes Funeral Home.
