Shirley Jane Dunn, 78 years old, of Bybee, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was a caring sister, devoted mother and beloved grandmother to her family, and she will be deeply missed. To many she was called ‘Nanny,’ not just a title but a reflection of her loving and caring spirit. Shirley was born on June 15, 1937 in Newport, Tennessee, to Ike Chub Hayes and Ola Mae (Fox) Hayes. Shirley was fortunate enough to have four loving sisters and two caring brothers; Bertie Mae Wilson (deceased), Ozell Ellison, Bessie (Dick) Hanson, and Kathleen (Hobert) Campbell, John Hayes, and Bobby Hayes (deceased). Shirley was blessed with three children Jeffrey (Claudette) Dunn, William (Kathy) Dunn, and Terri (Kevin) Owenby. Shirley was grateful for her grandchildren; Brandi (Henry) Mendoza, Melissa (Scott) Lamb, Josh Dunn, Stacie (Nathan) Rains, Tony Simmons, and Megan (Frank) Andrews. Shirley adored her great grandchildren; Dominick Mendoza, Jillian Dunn, Derek Dunn, and Ian Lamb. She is also survived by numerous cherished nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She retired from ACE Products after 25 years of employment. She developed many lifelong friendships through her years of employment with ACE Products. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, funeral service will at 7:00 pm, with Reverend Franklin Wines will officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 am Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens for the graveside services and interment. Pallbearers will be Josh Dunn, Tony Simmons, Michael Campbell, Patrick Clevenger, Scott Lamb, Nathan Rains and Frank Andrews.
