Dorothy James, age 75, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry James; son, Robert “Bobby” Ottinger, Jr.; granddaughter; Misty Ottinger; parents, Hugh and Bessie Fox; two sisters, Georgia “June” Grooms and Annie “Peggy" Fox; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Liz” Townsend.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry an Betty Ottinger; daughter, Brenda Webb and special friend, Everett Ellison, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Priscilla James; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Leon Lewis; brothers and sisters-in-law, James “Buck” and Judy Fox; Charles and Ethel Fox; Clarence and Edith Fox; Roy Paul and Dottie Fox; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wesley and Annie James; Hal and Joann Allen; brother-in-law, Lloyd Townsend; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2014 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the James Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
