MABEL RUTH HURLEY CALFEE, born December 15, 1919 passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Oak Ridge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert (Big Pap) Calfee; parents, John and Elsie Kirk Hurley of the McDonald community; and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Michael Calfee and wife Rose of Oak Ridge; daughtr, Vicki Calfee Coldwell and husband Richard of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Penny. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, animals and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Graveside interment service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aprl 28, 2012 in Point Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. James Hance officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to Point Pleasant Cemetery Fund, c/0 Troy Peak, 3330 Point Pleasant Road, Newport, TN 37821 or the Newport Animal Shelter, 420 Humane Way, Newport, TN 37821.
