August 21, 1952 - January 17, 2016 Resided in Seymour, TN Philip "Hump" Davis Hamilton, age 63 of Seymour, TN passed away Sunday January 17, 2016. Philip taught 6th grade science for 37 years in Seymour and was a member of Seymour United Methodist Church. He found joy in playing music with friends. Philip played guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, and also coached boys' basketball and girls' volleyball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Little Hamilton and Gladys Elizabeth Jane Short Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Vernon "Butch" Eaton. Survivors: Son: Patrick Hamilton Daughter and son-in-law: Chasity and Scott Galyon Grandchildren: Elijah, Gracie, and Micah Galyon, and Oliver Hamilton Brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Marty Hamilton, Jim Hamilton and Suki Seay, Steve and Francis Hamilton Sisters and brother-in-law: Denny Eaton, Patty and Spencer Garner Numerous nieces and nephews; as well as, students, teachers, and friends who were as family. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Megan Stinnett family care of Oak City Baptist Church 211 Main Street Seymour, TN 37865 Memorial service 7 PM Thursday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev.
