James Maxwell Seehorn, age 75, of Garland, Texas, passed away early Monday morning, July 31, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
A graduate of Cocke County High School (1955) and Tennessee Technological University (1959), his working career with Industrial Risk Insurers included assignments in Nashville, TN, Grand Rapids, MI, and Dallas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Rhea Seehorn and Maxie Williams Seehorn, sister Charlotte Rhea Seehorn Stahl, and brother John William Seehorn.
He leaves behind his wife of over 50 years Patricia Reynolds Seehorn, children Cynthia Johnson, James Maxwell Seehorn, Jr., and Kate Seehorn-Jara; grandchildren Andrew and William Johnson, Adeline Seehorn-Jara, and Abrille Hermida; brother Tom Seehorn and wife Patricia; special cousins Sue Thompson and Charlie Seehorn; and several other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Because he was an active member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners, the family request that memorials be made to the Nashville Scottish Rite, 100 Seventh Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012, at Gaston Oaks Baptist Church, 8515 Greeneville Ave., Dallas, TX.
