Mayford (Budman) Potter, 59, of Maryville, passed away suddenly Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was employed by C&C Trucking for over 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 17+ years, Betty Vaughn Potter; stepchildren, JR and Michelle Willis, Steven and Missy Willis, Audrey Willis, Nadine and Grady Lindsey, Dennis and Cassie Thomas, Spencer and Tammy Thomas; grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, Makila, Brianna, Chris, Curtis, Kacie Marie, Jason; great-grandson, Bentley; special great-grandchildren, Sydnie, Morgan and Levi Huffstetler; special friend and brother-in-law, Gene Vaughn; special sister-in-law, Anna Jo Potter, lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Rex Everett officiating. The family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Walker Family Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
