Mr. Mack Sanford Calfee, age 78 of Newport passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Calfee was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during World War II. He was also a lifetime member of the White Pine Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Underwood; sister, Lorene Campbell; and brother, Albert Calfee.
He is survived by his wife, Gertie Holt Calfee, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Carroll and Jan Calfee of Sevierville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Tammy and Kevin Adams; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Tony and Chris Calfee; grandsons, Jeff Underwood, Trevor Ball and Chris Calfee all of Morristown, and Cody Leiding of Powell; great-granddaughter and great-grandson-in-law, Casey and Chris Sanner of Russelville, and great-grandson, Brandon Calfee and great-granddaughter, Ashton Calfee both of Morristown; sisters, Kathleen Talley of Morristown, Carrie Freeman of Jonesboro, and Polly Fowler of Huntington, Utah; additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Friday evening, August 18, 2006 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Kitts officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m at Point Pleasant Church Cemetery for the 11 a.m. interment. Military honors will be provided by the East Tennessee Honor Guard.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, prior to the service.
