Services for Mrs. Eugene M. ( Evelyn A.) Goodman, 77, of Sun City West, Ariz., formerly of Dubuque, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Goodman was a real estate broker in both Iowa and Illinois for more than 25 years.
She was born on July 26, 1919, in North Buena Vista, Iowa, daughter of John and Daisy (Roe) VanHorne. She died at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997, at Forum Desert Harbor Nursing Home, Peoria, Ariz.
She married Eugene M. Goodman on Nov. 7, 1941.
She and her husband moved to Arizona six years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Sun City, Ariz.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene M. Goodman, of Sun City West; a daughter, Joan Michel, of Granville, Iowa; a son, Gary Goodman, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kay Schroeder and Doris Friedman, both of Dubuque, and Irene (Albert) Klein, of Balltown, Iowa; a brother, Earl "Ozzie" (Velma) Brahm Jr., of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Rose VanHorne, of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Clyde and Marion VanHorne.
