William “Bud” Graves, 75, of Maryville, passed away July 10, 2012, at home. He was born in Louisville, Tenn., and graduated from Alcoa High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Sawing Systems in Knoxville, and was recently employed at Alcoa Auto Auction. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family, friends at the Sundown Resort, and his dog Pookie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah (Liza) Hatcher and Nile Graves. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Phyllis D. Anderson Graves; daughters and sons-in-law, Missie and Al Rhea, and Becca (Buffy) and Jon Moore; sons, Tony Graves, and David Michael and Jill Graves; stepchildren, Michael and Angie Loveday, and Penny and Frank Carroll; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with a private memorial service. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
