Anthony “Tony” Green, age 44, of Newport, passed away at his home, Sunday, February 8, 2009. He will be remembered for the kind and caring person that everyone knew him to be.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garfield and Eula Ramsey, of Newport, Viola Page, of N.C, and Jim Green, of Newport.
He is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Betty Green, of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Victoria and Carroll Lane, of Newport. He was specially loved by two nieces, and one nephew, Ashley, Austin and Alexis Lane. He is also survived by sisters and brother in Michigan, Sandra and Robert Peters, Paulette Green, Charlotte Green, and Stanley and Lee Green; nieces and nephews, Chris, of Texas and Sharlow and Daniell of Michigan. He will be greatly missed by aunts, uncles, and other family and friends; and sadly missed by Zeke and Polly Ledwell.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm, Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Eddie Pasternak officiating, and eulogy by, Charlotte Pennington. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
