Robert Charles Otis "Robby" Sparks , age 31, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Maryville, where he enjoyed assisting with Vacation Bible School. He was a 1998 graduate of William Blount High School, where he played football. He served in the U.S. Army for five years and was stationed in Kosovo. He loved his family, had a heart of gold and was a very humorous person. He loved music, especially playing his guitar and he loved children. He will truly be missed. He leaves to mourn a wife, Michele Sparks ; parents, Chuck and Phylis Sparks of Knoxville, Barbara Ann Burkhart; sister, Autumn Sparks of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Miranda Sparks of Alcoa; two nieces; one nephew on the way; grandparents, Charles and Joyce Sparks , Greenback, Bob and Barbara Burkhart, Maryville; several aunts, uncles, cousins. Funeral will be noon Tuesday, Hopewell Baptist Church, Rev. Charles Huskey officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the youth fund of Hopewell Baptist Church.
