William "Bill" Taulbee Bailey, 85, of Sevierville passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. He was a veteran and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Bill loved traveling and sharing tales of adventures with friends. He loved to cook and was an avid reader. His guilty pleasure was chocolate. Bill cherished his family and his memory will live on in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Prova and William T. Bailey.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Annamarie Sturgeon, Gelinde Stott and husband, Butch, and Anna Lisa Bailey; grandchildren, Ryan Stott and wife, Shelby, Katie Sturgeon, Emily Stott, Erika Smith, Eryn Smith, and Allie Chappell; sister, Ann Croissant and husband, Gerald Croissant; brother, Jack Bailey and wife, Kathy Bailey; niece and nephews, Carol, Brian, and Polly; and several great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, J.D. Bloomer.
Memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post #104, P.O. Box 4242, Sevierville, TN, 37864.
Family and friends will meet at 9:30 AM Monday, August 22nd at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920, for the graveside service and interment. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #104.
