Gladys Leona (Flynn) Bohanan was lifted into the arms of the Lord on September 8th 2012.
She was born May 28, 1934, in Sevierville, TN, the daughter of the late Rhonda Houk, Melvin Houk (Step-father) and Andy Vance (father); sister Dorothy Manning; brother Kenneth Vance. She was the second oldest of 9 siblings. On January 1, 1956 she married Theron Bohanan, who survives.
She is also survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Brooks and husband Joe, Dottie Brooks and husband Danny, Tammie Rayfield and husband Minyard, Marlene Ownby and husband Danny; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Bohanan and wife Pat; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifton, Junior, Burton Houk, Clyde Vance; sisters, Louise Benson, Jean Reagan and Sharon Brooks.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Taylor officiating.
