James “Jim” K. Allen, age 79, of Newport, born September 16, 1932 went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Molly Allen; brothers, Jack Allen and W.L. Allen; sister-in-law, Renie Allen, nephew, Ricky Allen; brother-in-law, J. M. McMahan. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anna Allen; sister, Dorothy McMahan of Newport; special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Special thanks to all at Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, all were special to the family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Gass and Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral.
