Our sweet momma, Lois "Granny" Rader went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. She was preceded in death by our daddy, Carl R. Rader, and her parents Clifford "A.C." and Myrtle Letchco Simms. Left to mourn her passing are her children; Janice (Frank) Hickman, Gary (Mary) Rader, Debbie (Larry) McCoy, Randy Rader, Carla (Tim) Hurst and stepson, Jim "Butch" Cate; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her brother, Bob Sims (Elaine) and sister, Betty Ailey. Lois was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Young High School and a friend to all. Special thanks to the staff at the MCC Unit at UT Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 5-8pm at Oak City Baptist Church, 211 Main Street in Seymour with the funeral service to follow. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 3pm at Highland South Memorial Park, 9010 East Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1432 Shiloh Church Road, Seymour, TN 37865. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Highland South Funeral Home.
