Samuel Ray King, age 82, of Pigeon Forge, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. He was co-owner of King Brothers Building Contractors with his brother, Glenn. Some of their earlier projects included the Seymour, Sevier County and Gatlinburg-Pittman High Schools. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. King was also an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lula King, sisters, Lee McCarter, Thelma Maples, Blanche Byrd, Mae Reagan, Faye Lewis, Rhon McCarthey, brothers, A.J. King, Bob King, and Melvin King.

Sons: Sam King and Scott King
Grandson: Garrett King
Brother: Glenn King
The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Monday with a funeral service to follow at 6 PM in Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel with Rev. Mitch Ayers officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Tuesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for graveside service and interment. Arrangements by Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge.
