Edwin Robert “Bob” Napieralski passed away May 16, 2012. He was born June 13, 1921, in Bay City Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Sliwinski and Frank L. Napieralski; sisters, Dorothy Napieralski and Bernadine Burlingame; twin brother, Edward Frank.
Bob graduated Alma High School in Michigan in 1940. Attended Detroit School of Business and Henry Ford Tool & Die School of Ford Motor Co. in Detroit Michigan. Bob married Lorena M. Lauer on April 12, 1942 in Alma, Michigan. Bob served in the Pacific and Atlantic Theaters of WWII.
Bob retired from the Sales Field in 1990 and settled in Kodak, Tennessee calling their home “a little piece of heaven”. Bob was a past Exalted Ruler in the Elks Lodge #1982 in Houghton Lake, Michigan, and 3rd degree in Knights of Columbus and member of American Legion #104 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Bob served as Usher at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Surviving is his wife Lorena of 70 years of marriage; son, Daniel and wife Kim in Kodak, Tennessee; grandchildren, Daniel Jr. and wife Scarlett and great grand-children, Ciera, Ilyana, and Karis Napieralski, Wildwood Florida; Robert and wife Jennifer and great grand-daughter Courtney, Cosby Tennessee; Teri L. Napieralski, Royal Oak, Michigan.
Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with internment in Alma, Michigan at a later date.
