(December 23, 1934 - August 20, 2017) U.S. Veteran Bunis Dexter Bailey, age 82, of Parrotsville, entered his Heavenly Home on Sunday, August 20, 2017. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was employed with Sonoco for 28 years, also worked at Wal-Mart as a door greater for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mae Bailey all of Dandridge; and brothers, Harold Bailey of Clinton and Arvil Bailey of Dandridge. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Bailey of Parrottsville; daughter, Felicia Evans (Mike) ; stepson, (Like a son) Dwayne Yarbrough; brother, Stergal Bailey (Carol Ann) of Dandridge; sisters-in-law, Ann Bailey of Clinton and Jo Ann Strange (Marvin) of Newport; granddaughters, McKenzie and Bella Evans (The Loves of His Life); also several, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He will be missed by all who loved him and knew him. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Re. Tim Carson and Rev. Hal Kirk officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Swanns Chapel, Dandridge, TN. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
