TUSCALOOSA | Peggy Vestal Shults, age 80, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., went to be with the Lord, on October 11, 2014 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Heritage Chapel with Rev. Marcus Little and Rev. Jeremy Griffith officiating and Heritage Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Burial follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Heritage Chapel. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Irene Vestal; her husband, Harold Shults; daughter, Lisa Shults; and her brothers, Evon Vestal, Andrew Vestal, Lenny Vestal, and Ray Vestal.She is survived by her daughter, Delores Simmons (James); her sons, Clifford Shults (Jane), Ralph Shults (Sadie), Michael Shults (Stephanie) and Rickey Shults (Laura); her sisters, Martha Turner, Faye Riley, and Joan Andujar; brothers, Wayne Vestal, Dwayne Vestal, James Vestal, Terry Vestal, Timothy Vestal, and Durand Vestal; grandchildren, Kelly Wilson, Nicole Shults, Ashley Kircharr, Patrick Simmons, Samuel Shults, Joseph Shults, Reagan Shults, and Riley Shults; and her great grandchildren, Garrett Wilson, Peyton Kemp, Raiden Kircharr, Madelyn Simmons and Luke Simmons
Born in Chic, Tennessee, Peggy Moved to Tuscaloosa with her family in 1964. She was active in Church. She loved cooking and caring for her entire family. Her goal in life was to make sure that her loved ones were prepared to meet the Lord as she was. She demonstrated this devotion to God until the very end.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Smith, Donnie Smith, Ricky Kircharr, Patrick Simmons, Garrett Wilson and Reagan Shults.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Circlewood friends, friends of Life Pointe Church of God, friends of Real Hope Tuscaloosa Church of God, and the staff of Hospice of West Alabama.
